for my school we have a competition between the grades. we decorate the halls with different countries. our country is india. what are some ideas to decorate with? (other than the taj mahal, elephants) oh and it can be anywhere in India

Take theme of state and leader and some specifics of selected states.
1. Gujarat...........put Gandhi, show classic pic of Garba,, if possible put some cloths of Chaniya choli, some oxidize jewellery, some guj food snaps.
2. Punjab........... Shahid bhagat sing pic........freedom fighter, keep some snaps of typical Punjabi cloths and some Punjabi dish pics.
3. Take rajasthan, ... put pics of their typical tradition, put Rani laximibai's pic, Show typical dance type and their dressing.
4. Kolkata, Put Rabindranath Tagore's pic... who made national song and different way of saree wearing and classical way of dressing in White saree with red border,,,,,,,, Durga goddess also.
other theme is showing different festivals of india,
Navratri, Durga puja, Diwali, holi, Kite flying, Ganesh festival, Dashera, pongal, .... some pics of god and some typical picularities of each festival

1. Unity in diversity-different religions/dresses
2. Classical dances-Katthak, Bharat natyam etc
3. Wild life-asiatic lion, white tiger etc
4. Architecture-mughal, Rajputana, south indian, british monuments & buildings
5. Prominent personalities-Gandhiji, Sardar Patel, Indira Gandhi etc
